Yejia Zhang, M.D., Ph.D.
Physical Medicine/Pain Management
Yejia Zhang, M.D., Ph.D., returns to Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush on September 1, 2008, after a two year research assignment at the prestigious Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
As a highly trained physiatrist, Dr. Zhang specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Her practice is dedicated to promoting physical health and healing through nonsurgical methods including physical therapy, medications, and other noninvasive methods.
Dr. Zhang received her medical degree from the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai, People's Republic of China, and then earned her doctorate degree in cell and molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania. Her post graduate work included a fellowship at Northwestern University and residency at Rush University and the University of Rochester in New York, respectively.
Through collaboration with the region's top orthopaedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians, Dr. Zhang plays an integral role in Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush's unparalleled, comprehensive orthopaedic services.
