Professor, Rush University Medical Center
Aaron Rosenberg, M.D., specializes in hip, knee and joint replacement
surgery. He is a graduate of Albany Medical College. He served as a
resident at Rush University Medical Center in Orthopaedics and served as a
fellow in Adult Reconstruction and Oncology at Massachusetts General
Hospital in Boston, MA, prior to beginning the practice of Orthopaedic
Surgery at Rush in 1984.
In addition to the surgical replacement of the hip and knee, Dr. Rosenberg has focused his career on the education of surgeons both in the United States and around the world. He has written hundreds of scientific papers and has given over 700 scientific presentations at meetings in the United States, Europe, Asia, South America and Australia.
Over the past 20 years, Dr. Rosenberg has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and has been the director of and instructor of multiple courses on joint replacement at the AAOS Orthopaedic Learning Center.
Dr. Rosenberg is the editor of the AAOS instructional CD-ROM, The Arthritic Knee, and is the co-editor of the definitive textbook on surgery
of the hip (The Adult Hip-Lippincott, William & Wilkins, 2000) and surgery
of the knee (The Adult Knee-Lippincott, William & Wilkins 2002), as well as serving on the editorial boards of the Journal of Arthroplasty, The Knee, and Orthopaedic Techniques among others. Dr. Rosenberg has been instrumental in the design of several joint replacement devices including the VerSys Hip System, The Nex Gen Knee System, and The ZMR Revision Hip System.
He served as President of the Advisory Board of the Zimmer Institute
and as a member of the The Hip Society,The Knee Society and The International Hip Society. He is most proud of being associated in practice with Regina Barden, RN, for the past 19 years.
Dr. Rosenberg has agreements regarding the development and licensing of certain knee and hip implant devices and medical instruments for which he receives payments from manufacturers. Additional information regarding these manufacturers, devices and instruments will be provided to you upon request.
