Limb Preservation Center

The Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Limb Preservation Center is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of limb threatening orthopaedic conditions due to trauma, tumor or infection. Patients referred to the Limb Preservation Center suffer from acute diseased and injured extremities and are often at extreme risk of amputation.

The physicians of the Limb Preservation Center combine experience, skill, and the latest technological advances in limb-sparring treatment to effectively treat a wide range of conditions including: osteosarcoma and other bone cancers, non-healing fractures, acute trauma, acute and chronic infection, and deformities.

Highly Specialized Limb-Sparring Treatment

The Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Limb Preservation physicians are skilled at the most advanced surgical reconstructive techniques available, including limb-sparing operations using advanced fixation techniques, human bone transplants, bone graft substitutes, bone growing proteins, free tissue transfers and soft tissue grafting.
