Now Offered at MOR
The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Department of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is proud to offer the Alter G Anti-Gravity treadmill. The Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill is a revolutionary approach to rehabilitation and training. It gives the user the opportunity to exercise without pain, while recovering from surgery or injury. The machine works by using patented Differential Air Pressure (DAP) technology that applies a comfortable and uniform lifting force to the user's body. The force allows for the user to walk or run at anywhere between 20-100 percent of their body weight. This unweighting technology reduces the impact of walking or running, allowing the user to rehabilitate much more quickly. The machine can be beneficial for a variety of different patients including:
- Rehabilitating after surgery of the hip, knee, ankle or foot
- Training through and injury
- Reduced impact training and conditioning
- Gait training for neurologic patients
- Weight control and reduction
- Strength and conditioning for older patients
The innovative machine and qualified therapists are located in the Physical Therapy and Occupational therapy suite of the Orthopedic Building on Harrison and Ashland. Call today to schedule an appointment at 312.432.2513.
