Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is pleased to announce the premiere of Sports Medicine Weekly on ESPN 1000. The one hour ESPN radio talk show will premiere on Saturday, May 14 at 7:00 am and air each week through July 30, with archived podcast available online.
Dr. Brian Cole, sports medicine specialist and head team physician of the Chicago Bulls, will co-host the show with Bulls Radio host Steve Kashul. Together Steve and Dr. Cole will discuss the most common sports injuries benching players of all ages, sports and skill levels. The show will provide insight into what a professional athlete faces in training and competition as well as tips for the average person to stay fit and injury free.
The show will incorporate special features including: The Athlete's Parent, Fantasy Sports Injury Update, In-Depth Weekly Injury Reports and Getting Back in the Game. They will also showcase special guest experts, including surgeons and trainers as well as personal accounts from athletes that have transitioned from injury-reserve back to the playing field.
