in the National Athletic Trainers' Association
Bernard R. Bach Jr., M.D., Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Sports Medicine Surgeon, has been tapped to receive an "Honorary Membership" to the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). Dr. Bach will accept this award at the 2009 NATA Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposia, June 17, 2009, in San Antonio, TX.
"I've been privileged to work with some of the finest athletic trainers in the field," says Dr. Bach. "These relationships are founded on mutual respect and the common goal of effectively treating athletes. Therefore, it means a great deal to know that the work of my practice is highly regarded in the athletic training profession."
Honorary membership in the NATA is an exclusive honor reserved for individuals who have made significant contributions to the athletic training profession. Though not certified athletic trainers themselves, they have dedicated a significant portion of their careers to advancing, promoting and championing the efforts of the NATA and its members. A minimum of 15 years of service to the profession is required. Dr. Bach is one of only six honorees for 2009.
About the National Athletic Trainers' Association
The National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) is the professional membership association for certified athletic trainers and others who support the athletic training profession.
Founded in 1950, the NATA has grown to more than 30,000 members worldwide today. The majority of certified athletic trainers choose to be members of the NATA—to support their profession, and to receive a broad array of membership benefits.
By joining forces as a group, NATA members can accomplish more for the athletic training profession than they can individually.
