Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Honors Bob Feller

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush was proud to host National Baseball Hall of Famer Bob Feller in their suite at the White Sox opening day game on April 5, 2010. The game marked the 70th anniversary of Feller's opening day no-hitter against the White Sox in 1940. Bob Feller and his sister Marguerite Goodson attended the game, and were joined by White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf. The ballpark had changed since Feller pitched his no-hitter in front of 14,000 fans in old Comiskey Park, but Feller's memories of the game had not faded.

While in Chicago Feller was also honored during the Bob Feller Tribute Luncheon at Harry Caray's Restaurant during which Feller happily relived the highlights of his career, including detailed accounts of batters he faced. Arrangements for the opening day game and luncheon were made through the Chicago Baseball Museum. The museum was proud to honor such an outstanding achievement, one that has not been matched in the 70 years since.
