MOR sports medicine physician Dr. Brian Cole was recognized on Monday evening for being named 2009 NBA Physician of the Year as voted by the National Basketball Athletic Trainers Association (NBATA). Before tip-off at the Bulls game against the Atlanta Hawks, Dr. Cole received an award for his accomplishment from Wally Blase, head of the NBATA. In addition to the award the NBATA also donated $1,000 to the charity of Dr. Cole's choice.
"Dr. Cole has been wonderful to work with over the past five seasons," said Fred Tedeschi, Bulls Head Athletic Trainer. "His demeanor, professionalism and integrity have helped him become one of the most respected doctors in the NBA and we're fortunate to have him."
Dr. Cole feels privileged to work with the Bulls organization, and looks forward to future seasons with the team.
