Dr. Cole Travels with All-Star Rose

Bulls Head Team Physician hopes to have Bulls standout guard in shape for February 14 NBA All-Star Game

When Derrick Rose left the February 10 game versus the Orlando Magic with a bruised right hip, Chicago Bulls feared the worst. Now, it looks like he may recover fast enough to participate in Sunday's NBA All-Star Game in Dallas, Texas.

Rose hit the floor during the first quarter following a foul by Orlando center Dwight Howard. An MRI on his lower back and right hip performed at Rush University Medical Center showed no significant injury.

MOR Sports Medicine Surgeon and Bulls Head Team Physician Dr. Brian Cole will re-examine Rose in Dallas on Saturday. Reports signal that Rose was moving better upon his arrival in Dallas on Thursday. No word yet if Rose will defend his title in the Skills exhibition Saturday, but it looks more likely that he will be able to play in Sunday's All-Star Game.
