MOR spine, back and neck specialist Dr. David Fardon attended a Spine Summit meeting sponsored by the North American Spine Society (NASS) at the society's Research and Education Center in Burr Ridge, IL.

Dr. Fardon attended as a member of the NASS Leadership Committee and as past president of NASS, which is the world's largest multidisciplinary society of board-certified spine-care physicians. The meeting assembled leaders from professional groups representing orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiology, anesthesia and pain management. Topics included understanding of the current status of the new Health Care Reform Law, efforts to provide a national registry of diagnoses and procedures to facilitate outcomes research, the current status of the processes of FDA regulations, and regulation of the coding of treatments.
