Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush joint replacement and reconstruction surgeon Dr. Jorge Galante has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Hip Society. He was presented with the award during the society's annual meeting, which took place March 9-13 in New Orleans.
The Hip Society, founded in 1968, is a non-profit educational organization that provides organized exchange of information about new ideas and techniques in the diagnosis and management of hip problems. The Hip Society sponsors an annual forum for orthopaedic surgeons on advances in knowledge and treatment of hip problems.
In addition to Dr. Galante, Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush surgeons Dr. Craig Della Valle, Dr. Joshua Jacobs, Dr. Wayne Paprosky, and Dr. Aaron Rosenberg are members of this prestigious society.
The Hip Society recently celebrated 40 years of dedication to the advancement of knowledge of the hip joint. The organization is made up of 85 orthopaedic surgeons from across the nation. Only seven members practice in Illinois, five of whom are MOR surgeons (the others are Dr. S. David Stulberg and Dr. John Martell).
