Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks will undergo exploratory surgery for a shoulder injury on Monday, August 6, handled by a team of physicians from Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. The team will be led by shoulder specialists Dr. Anthony Romeo and Dr. Gregory Nicholson with assistance from Dr. Charles Bush-Joseph and Dr. Nikhil Verma. The shoulder sprain, has kept Danks off the pitcher's mound since the White Sox beat the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on May 19.
