For Immediate Release
On November 2nd, Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush (MOR) was dismissed from a federal false claims act lawsuit brought by a member of the Rush medical staff. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois dismissed the case in its entirety against all parties.
MOR had always maintained that the lawsuit itself was without merit and the Federal Government has declined to intervene in this portion of the case. "We are appreciative that the case was dismissed and that we can move forward and focus on the needs of and care for our patients. MOR is proud of the high quality care that we provide and of our longstanding relationship with the Rush University Medical Center community," said MOR president and managing partner Charles Bush-Joseph, MD. "Our guiding principles have always been clinical excellence, world class research and educational leadership while maintaining high ethical standards. These principles remain the foundation and mission for Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush."
