Dr. Mjaanes Goes Bald for a Good Cause

Sports medicine, pediatric sports medicine physician, Dr. Jeffrey Mjaanes participated in the St. Baldrick's Foundation Childhood Cancer benefit by shaving his head to raise money for childhood cancer research. This is the second year Dr. Mjaanes has participated in the event with the "Rush Peds Hair Today Gone Tomorrow" team. Through the generosity of his family, friends, and coworkers, Dr. Mjaanes was able to far exceed his fundraising goal, raising five times the amount he did last year.

Dr. Mjaanes said goodbye to his locks at the hands of Tyler Lukasik, 16. Tyler was a patient of fellow MOR physician Dr. Steven Gitelis, orthopaedic oncology. Dr. Mjaanes thanked Tyler for doing a great job and is already looking forward to shaving his head again next year.
