MOR sports medicine physician, pediatric sports medicine physician Dr. Jeffrey Mjaanes recently traveled to Jamaica as team physician for the U.S. Under-17 Men's Soccer Team. In addition to their training schedule, the U.S. team will play a series of friendly matches while in Jamaica.

As team physician for U.S. Soccer, Dr. Mjaanes assists with medical planning prior to the trip, including team vaccinations, physicals, and packing adequate medical supplies for the duration of the trip. While in Jamaica, Dr. Mjaanes is available to evaluate and treat any sports-related musculoskeletal issues or injuries as well as any general medical issues. He is also present at all matches and training sessions and is prepared to provide immediate expert care should any athlete be injured on the field.

Dr. Mjaanes started with U.S. Soccer in 2005-2006. This will complete his second year with the Under-17 Men's team. While in Jamaica, Dr. Mjaanes will be sending updates of the team's day-to-day training and competition. Please visit the MOR Blog to read more.
