Sports medicine physician Dr. Shane Nho
co-presented his study on outcomes after arthroscopic treatment of the hip in a mixed group of high-level athletes at the annual meeting of
the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island, on July 14, 2010.
The study followed 47 high-level high school varsity, college and professional athletes from a wide range of sports including hockey, soccer, baseball, football, track, tennis, and crew. More than half of the athletes participated in college-level play and the average age of those involved was 23 years old. The study found that over 90% of athletes returning to their sports were able to do so at the same level of competition. This study was also featured in U.S.News and World Report.
