Probert Diagnosis Puts Focus on Stopping Concussions
Dr. Jeffrey Mjaanes, director of the Chicago Sports Concussion Clinic at Rush was featured on ABC 7 News to discuss the recent findings of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in the late Chicago Blackhawks player Bob Probert. Probert had requested that his brain be tested for the degenerative brain disease before his death in July. An autopsy confirmed that the stand-out Blackhawks player did suffer from the disease.
