Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush shoulder expert Dr. Anthony Romeo was featured on ESPN to discuss the rare injury that benched White Sox pitcher Jake Peavy last season. Peavy's latissimus dorsi tendon tore completely from the bone and retracted down his back. Peavy underwent surgery to repair the injury on July 14, 2010. Under the care of world-renowned shoulder specialist Dr. Anthony Romeo, Peavy has met the highest expectations of his recovery by arriving at spring training and throwing from the mound.
