Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Proudly Supports the STOP Sports Injuries Campaign

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is proud to announce their full endorsement of the STOP Sports Injuries Campaign. The campaign is one that looks at the rapidly growing incidence of injuries among young athletes, and the need to reverse the trend. Sports medicine orthopaedic surgeons have seen two trends emerge recently: a rapid rise in the number of youth sports injures and a drop in the age of young athletes with overuse injuries. These trends are fueled by a lack of proper injury prevention education.

The STOP Sports Injures Campaign will feature public service announcements, a sports injuries educational web site, and a pledge for all young athletes, parents, coaches, and healthcare providers to support. This information can be found at www.stopsportsinjuries.org.
