Patients of Dr. Walter Virkus and Dr. Christopher DeWald helped raise money for Rush University Medical Center cancer research during the Swim Across America event at Ohio St. Beach in Chicago. The remarkable stories about Grace Waller, who is a cancer survivor, was included in the DeKalb Daily Chronicle and Meghan Falconer, a scoliosis patient, was featured in the Libertyville Review. The Chicago event raised over $280,000 for cancer research.
