MOR Women's Sports Medicine physician recognized by Girls in the Game for her leadership in promoting girls' health
Dr. Kathy Weber was recognized as the Girls in the Game "Health Champion" award winner during the organization's 11th annual Field of Dreams Anniversary Gala.
Dr. Weber was presented with the award by Christina Cooper, an active participant in Girls in the Game programs.
"My name is Christina Cooper and I am 14 years old. And this is Dr. Kathy Weber, Director of the Women's Sports Medicine Program at Midwest Orthopaedics at RUSH and team physician for the Bandits, White Sox, Bulls, and many other professional athletes. Dr. Weber also is one of our board members and she only found out about this special honor 15 minutes ago! Dr. Weber is my HEALTH Champion because she is one of the few women in the sports medicine field and widely respected for her expertise and experience -- proving women in sports is truly the best medicine! With determination, she has knocked it out of the ballpark! Thank you, Dr. Weber."
