Biography

Dr. Nicole Levy is a Primary Care Sports Medicine physician, who specializes in non-surgical treatment of acute, overuse, and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. She provides care for athletes of all ages and all levels, from weekend warriors to aspiring Olympians. She has special interests in the care of child and adolescent athletes, care of runners, care of basketball athletes, fracture care, and concussion management. 

As a Chicago native, Dr. Levy earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, IL, where her interests in Sports Medicine were sparked. She then graduated from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, IL, and completed a Categorical Pediatrics residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center, IL. She went on to complete a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery, NY, where she served as assistant team physician for several sports teams, including the New York Giants, New York Mets, St. John's Athletics, and several local high school football teams. In addition, she took care of skiers and snowboarders of all ages at Killington Medical Clinic, VT. She also has served as an event physician for the Lake Placid Ironman, New York City Marathon, Chicago Marathon, and fellow Medical Director for the Brooklyn Rock n' Roll Half Marathon. She is an active member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. 

Dr. Levy understands the importance of getting back in action, optimizing quality of life, and will work with patients to develop a comprehensive plan to fit their goals. She sees patients of all ages including adolescents involved in recreational sporting activities, individuals participating in exercise programs to maintain health, and those that may be struggling with the setbacks of arthritis. She understands the importance of peak performance and also staying healthy. 

In her leisure time, she enjoys staying active outdoors, running, tennis, and yoga. She participated in the 2013 Chicago Marathon and appreciates the dedication involved in training for races. She loves traveling, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
