Richard Rodarte, M.D.

Dr. Rodarte, a Chicago native, has years of experience serving the needs of the Chicago working community. He has partnered closely with large and small companies and their employees, creating successful outcomes and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Dr. Rodarte is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Urbana. He is board certified in Occupational Medicine, following training at Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He served as Chief Resident of Resurrection Hospital, Family Practice and as Chief of Medical Staff at Memorial Hospital of Burlington, Wisconsin. He has been a Clinical Instructor for Medical College of Wisconsin and University of Wisconsin. He is certified as a Medical Review Officer for drug testing and Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation. He is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Dr. Rodarte is skilled in performing evaluations for worker injury, return to work, fitness for duty, government-mandated evaluations, such as commercial drivers license (CDL) and OSHA-required examinations. He understands OSHA reporting and safety guidelines, workers' compensation issues, FMLA and can meet the often complex needs of the employer and employee.

"Communication is the key," is Dr. Rodarte's guiding principal. He finds that successful outcomes come through careful listening to the concerns of the entire team, including the employee, employer representative, physical therapists, case managers, and referral physicians. Dr. Rodarte has a reputation built on meeting the health and safety needs of the employee, yet also understanding the business needs of the employer. Dr. Rodarte is conversational in Spanish.
