Simon Lee, M.D.
Foot & Ankle
Assistant Professor, Rush University Medical Center
Dr. Lee specializes in foot and ankle disorders with strong interests in sports-related injuries, soft tissue and bony reconstructive surgery, and fractures about the foot and ankle.
Originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago, Dr Lee graduated from Rush Medical College. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center and went on to complete a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Carolinas Medical Center with Miller Orthopaedic Clinic in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Lee is involved in numerous clinical studies and publications relating to the foot and ankle. He is an associate editor of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) journal, Foot and Ankle International. He is active in the national education of orthopaedic residents and fellow surgeons concerning the foot and ankle with publications in the AOFAS and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) resident publications. Dr Lee continues to be active as a faculty member of foot and ankle instructional courses. He continues to remain the team consultant to Hubbard Street Dance and River North Chicago Dance as well as volunteer yearly for the Chicago Marathon and Chicago Triathlon.
