Laura comes to Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush from Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she served as a Radiologic Technologist since July of 2001. She started at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in June of 2003, then moved to the new Winfield location in September of 2005. Through her ability to capture highly accurate X-ray images, our physicians are able to more effectively diagnose and treat complex orthopaedic injuries.

While at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Laura served as one of the Radiologic Technologists for NBA Draftees and was selected as CXR Technologist for National Lung Screening Trial.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Works closely with nurses and physicians to determine appropriate testing
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures
• Optimally positions patients for accurate imaging
• Fine-tunes equipment to produce radiographs with the desired density, detail, and contrast
• Works with manufacturers to maintain equipment
