Dr. Denis Nam Receives OREF/CCJR Clinical Practice Award

Dr. Denis Nam, joint replacement specialist at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, recently received an award at the 2016 Current Concepts in Joint Replacement meeting. The award is called the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF)/Current Concepts in Joint Replacement (CCJR) Clinical Practice Award and is given out annually. Eligible recipients are fellows and orthopedic surgeons who have completed studies focusing on health care policy, clinical outcomes or translational research having immediate impact.

Dr. Nam's paper, "Patient-Reported Metal Allergy: A Risk Factor for Poor Outcomes After Total Joint Arthroplasty," met the manuscript criteria by addressing completed investigations focusing on health care policy, clinical outcomes, or translational research with immediate clinical impact in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
