Dr. Ghannad Weighs in on Impact of Youth Sports Concussion Act

Dr. Leda Ghannad, a Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush sports medicine primary care physician, talked with a DuPage Policy Journal reporter about the impact of the Youth Sports Concussion Act enacted by Governor Bruce Rauner in 2015. She was sought out as an expert due to the treatment of concussion in her practice. "The whole point is the medical needs of the student-athletes are being addressed," Ghannad explains.

"The goal was to create a group and policy that advocates on the side of athletes, and I'm convinced what we have in place now is much better than what we had before."
