Use of New Technology for Leg Lengthening Procedure after Golf Cart Accident

Elmhurst resident, Carolyn White was injured three years ago in a traumatic golf cart rollover accident in South Carolina. Her leg, almost amputated, was saved after multiple surgeries. Carolyn now walked with a limp there was a one inch difference between her two legs. Carolyn and her mom looked to Dr. Monica Kogan for help.

Dr. Monica Kogan, pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, used a new leg lengthening procedure with a magnetic device to help Carolyn. Thanks to Dr. Kogan and PRECICE technology, her legs are now equal length; she has no limp and is active again.
