Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is proud to offer a 12-month, post-professional Occupational Hand Therapy Fellowship Program providing mentored advanced clinical practice in an outpatient rehab setting.

Our fellowship provides 1,500 hours of clinical experience under the mentorship of experienced CHTs. Located within one of the nation’s premier orthopedic centers and academic institutions, our program partners with Rush University’s Occupational Therapy Program to offer unparalleled access to expert faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and a diverse patient population. Graduates of the fellowship will be well-prepared to pass the hand therapy certification exam and to excel as leaders in hand therapy.
Working alongside board-certified occupational therapists and certified hand therapists, the hand therapy fellow will primarily treat patients at our Chicago location and may also experience didactic and clinical education at (Chicago, Oak Brook, Joliet ). The fellow will work in a multidisciplinary clinic setting with hand and orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, PTs, and support staff.
This fellowship focuses on collaborating with the Rush occupational therapy program to teach through lectures and labs. This fellowship is ideal for candidates who wish to build their CV with a component in academia.
