Alexander Acuña, MD is originally from Orlando, Florida, and enjoys cooking and mixology, exploring new restaurants around Chicago, building Legos, and watching movies. His research interests include venous thromboembolism prevention after total joint arthroplasty, safe opioid prescribing practices, periprosthetic joint infection diagnosis and treatment, and price transparency in healthcare. Prior to medical school, he worked as an athletic trainer for the Notre Dame football team.
