Who doesn’t love a behind-the-scenes look?
If you are a sports fan, or just really like a good breakfast, mark your calendars for the 7th annual Chicago Sports Summit, hosted by Midwest Orthopaedics at RUSH, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, 8:00 – 11:00 am, at the Chicago Hyatt Regency on Wacker. Featuring four fascinating panel discussions and a full breakfast, this action-packed event is once again a benefit for research at RUSH.
This year’s Summit will feature names and faces right out of the headlines: Rick Hahn, Chicago White Sox; Ram Padmanabhan, Chicago Bulls; Jamie Spencer, Chicago Blackhawks; Julie Giese, Chicago NASCAR; Joe Saslow, Chicago Slice Pickleball; and many others. Topics to be discussed include: compensating college athletes with NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) rules, common challenges among Chicago’s pro team leaders, the risk of caring for pro athletes medically, and Chicago’s two emerging sports: NASCAR and pro pickleball.
The interesting discussions will be moderated by professional members of the Chicago sports media.
The Summit – and the Chicago Sports Summit Foundation – was founded by Dr. Brian Cole who sought to create an opportunity to combine Chicago’s interesting sports personalities and topics with a philanthropy that helps all types of athletes stay active longer.
