Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Significant Others (MORSO) Provide and Serve Home-Cooked Meal at Deborah's Place

January 12, 2017

MORSO (Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Significant Others), a group of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush physicians’ spouses and staff members, recently treated residents of Deborah’s Place in Chicago to a festive New Year’s celebration.  Clad in colorful New Year’s tiaras and leis, they provided and served a home-cooked meal to the residents and brought  many gifts, such as toiletries, clothing and bed linens. Coordinated by Faye Jacobs and Kari Levine, the event also included conversation, games and karaoke. Deborah’s Place is Chicago’s largest provider of housing exclusively for women and provides other services such as counseling and meals to over 234 women escaping the cycle of poverty. This event is annually enjoyed by both volunteers and the women of Deborah’s Place.
