How to Create a Nuance PowerShare Account and Share Medical Images

Follow the steps below to upload and share your imaging studies securely with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.

Step 1: Access Nuance PowerShare

Go to https://www1.nuancepowershare.com/smr/login.

Step 2: Register for an Account

1. Select “Register now.”
2. Choose “Register as a Patient” and complete the required account information.
3. Check your email to verify and activate your account.

Step 3: Upload Your Images

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Select “Upload Images.”
3. Under “Upload Destination,” choose your name (patient name).

Step 3 (Continued): Upload Your Images

1. Choose a folder and select the image files from your computer.
2. Once your study appears, click on it and select “Upload.”
3. When the upload is complete, click “Done.”

Step 4: Share Your Images with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush

1. From your home page, select “Share Images.”
2. Choose the studies you’d like to share and click “Share These Images.”
3. Search for a new contact using the following information:

Hospital/Imaging Facility: Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush
City: Chicago
ZIP Code: 60612

    4. Click “Share” next to the Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush account (next to the MOR logo).

Step 5: Add a Personal Message

1. In the Personal Message field, please include the name of the physician you’d like to share your images with.
2. Check the HIPAA box only.
3. Select “Allow contact to make a copy of images shared with them.”
4. Click “Invite.”
