Eligibility Requirements

The MOR Occupational Hand Therapy Fellowship is designed for highly motivated occupational therapists who are committed to advancing their clinical expertise in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. 

To ensure fellows are well-prepared for the program’s rigorous academic and clinical training, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with an obtained doctoral or master’s degree .
  • All candidates must have a current State of Illinois license or be eligible to attain a license prior to the initiation of the fellowship. 
  • Occupational Therapists must have current NBCOT certification.
  • Candidates must provide the selection committee with references from a clinical practice supervisor and/or fieldwork supervisors.
  • Must have one year of clinical experience in the field of Occupational Therapy or outpatient hand/UE rehabilitation, and level II fieldwork experience.
  • Membership in the following state and/or national organizations preferred: 
    • Illinois Occupational Therapy Association (ILOTA) 
    • American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) 
    • American Society of Hand Therapy (ASHT)
