Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is in network with most major insurance providers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Cigna, and Aetna. If you are unsure if MOR is in your network, please contact your insurance carrier for more information.

If you have a PPO insurance plan that we participate in, you do not need a referral to schedule an appointment with an orthopedic provider. For POS or HMO insurance plans that we participate in, your insurance carrier may require that you obtain a referral from your Primary Care Physician (PCP) before receiving services.  

Scheduling is dependent on availability, but our physicians and scheduling department work together to schedule efficiently and see you as soon as possible. Severity of injury is also a factor. Patients with traumatic injuries like fractures can typically be seen by a physician within 24 hours. 

Please have your insurance card and a valid photo I.D. with you at the time of your appointment. If one is required, please bring your referral with you as well. For certain visits, we will send pre-visit forms. Please complete them in advance, when possible, to help expedite the check-in process.
