Physical Therapist
Alfonzo is a float physical therapist for Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. He comes to the organization with over 10 years of clinical orthopedic experience. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He earned his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Northern Illinois University. It was his many orthopedic injuries growing up and his traveling around the world that sparked his interest in physical therapy and the desire to work out of multiple locations. He is deeply committed to life long learning and delivering current quality and compassionate care to maximize functional outcomes and improve the quality of life for his patients. To ensure continuity of care, Alfonzo works collaboratively with other staff physical therapist, case managers as well as with the excellent team of physicians at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. When he's not focused at work, he enjoys listening to music, bonding with his friends and traveling the world.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Examined patients' medical histories
- Evaluate patients' functional mobility and strength
- Develop and administer individualized treatment plans including manual therapy techniques
- Instruct patients on progressive exercise programs
- Communicate regularly with physicians, other therapist and case managers on patient progress
- Works out of multiple locations
