Dr. Kern Singh, Co-Director of the Minimally Invasive Spine Institute at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, has been appointed to serve as Chair of the Spine Program Committee for the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting from 2017-2020. The AAOS Annual Meeting provides orthopedic surgeons with variety of educational programs, including innovative orthopedic technology and research.

It's an honor and privilege to serve as the Chair of the Spine Program Committee. Overseeing the Spine Section of the largest Orthopedic Society in the World is a tremendous honor. I hope to add and improve upon what has been a meaningful society for advancing spinal care amongst practicing orthopedic surgeons.

As the Chair of the Spine Program Committee, Dr. Singh will be responsible for overseeing the entire Spine Program for the AAOS national meeting. He will also be in charge of coordinating all spine presentations, instructional course lectures, reviewing and overseeing all spine research submissions and choosing those to make the spine program.

Dr. Kern Singh specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery. He is also extensively involved in designing new minimally invasive spinal instrumentation for cutting-edge spinal surgery. He frequently teaches minimally invasive techniques to neurosurgeons and spinal surgeons from around the world.
