Dr. Kern Singh Featured Speaker on Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery in Japan

The 47th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Spine Surgery and Related Research (JSSR) was held from Thursday, April 12 to Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Kobe International Conference Center, the Kobe Portopia Hotel, and the Kobe International Exhibition Hall. The JSSR is the large spine surgical society in Japan with over 2000+ orthopedic and neurosurgical members. 

The meeting included two Special Lectures and one Cultural Lecture, as well as symposia, panel discussions, video sessions, and educational lectures, the latter given by invited speakers mainly from across the world. Dr. Kern Singh lectured on the ethics of the learning curve in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery was the featured lecture on the last day of the meeting. Over 500 attendees participated in the event with the chairman of the meeting, Dr. Hiroaki Nakamura, M.D., Ph.D., presiding over the lecture.

Dr. Singh has been invited back to Japan to give two additional guest lectures: the first at JOA (Japanese Orthopedic Association) in the May of 2018 in Kobe, and the second lecture to be given in November of 2018 in Tokyo at the JASMISS  (Japanese Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery) meeting.

Dr. Singh is listed in Becker's Orthopedic Spine and Pain Management as one of the nation's Top 100 spine surgeons and specialists. He was also awarded the "Top 10" Doctor Award, Most Compassionate Doctor, and Patient's Choice Award from Vitals.com. Dr. Singh was also appointed to serve as the chair of the Spine Program Committee for the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting from 2017-2020.
