Dr. Shane Nho and Dr. Charles Bush-Joseph, Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, recently published a study on return to work for workers' compensation patients after hip arthroscopy to repair labral tears. Their research, which showed that the majority of patients returned to work with no restrictions, was published in the Journal of Hip Preservation. 29 workers' compensation patients were evaluated at maximum medical improvement (MMI) status, one year postoperatively.
Other researchers in the study were: Simon Lee, Gregory L. Cvetanovich , Randy Mascarenhas, Thomas H. Wuerz and Richard C. Mather.
